Jacksonville authorities are addressing social media rumors about a "serial killer on the loose" after the discovery of three women's bodies in separate incidents over three days. The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office (JSO) emphasized on Tuesday (November 19) that these cases are unrelated and urged the public to remain calm while investigations continue. "JSO is aware of rumors circulating about a serial killer on the loose in Jacksonville. We can confirm these claims are FALSE," the agency stated on social media.

The three women found dead include Cherrish Nunley, a 24-year-old mother of two, who was discovered fatally shot in a parking lot on Saturday (November 15). The following day, the body of Tiffany Felton was found beneath a bridge on Blanding Boulevard. On Monday (November 17), another woman was found unresponsive in a rooming house in the city's Phoenix neighborhood. Despite the proximity of these events, investigators have found no evidence linking the deaths or suggesting a broader threat to the community.

The JSO assured the public that detectives are investigating each case individually, following the facts and evidence. However, online speculation continues, with some users drawing comparisons to infamous serial killer cases like Ted Bundy. Authorities reiterated that there is no danger to the public related to these incidents and promised to share updates as soon as possible.
